Peter is currently the Managing Director of CFM Consulting Ltd.
He has a reputation for "getting things done through people" and his determination, drive and sense of humour enable results to be delivered in a way that many teams enjoy.
His approach is through application, and understanding. His learning is through immersion. His ability to marry a logical and practical approach with emotional understanding has led to his previous employer achieving IIP, gaining City & Guilds recognition, securing certification with Strathclyde University for the UK's first School of Coaching.
The School of Coaching is a competence based extensive behavioural change programme for individuals embarking on a career of performance business coaching. This was the first university certificated programme for business coaching to be developed.
As well as designing and developing the School, Peter created the database of Blue chip clients and through a process of Branding, Marketing and Public Relations brought what was a virtual project to reality within a two-year period.
Working with senates, committees and university working parties challenged Peter's ability in the most rigorous of corporate, educational and political environments.
Peter currently serves on the Scottish Advisory Board for the National Examination Board of Management for which he to brings a business perspective to the field of Learning and accreditation. He is also an external verifier and customer liaison manager for England. His current project is to align the Diploma in Management studies with NVQ level 5 qualifications.
As a professionally qualified business coach, Peter is currently working with a number of individual senior clients to assist in their desire to improve their behaviours and performance in the corporate and private arenas.
He has facilitated Boards and senior management teams, which has enabled increased understanding of the complex nature of their business. He has assisted in finding ways to harness the best of the various elements that individuals bring to their respective companies. He aligns these elements in a way that does not privilege one aspect of the business over another.
Peter employs a number of tools and techniques that whilst innovative have a solid practical application in the world of work.
CFM Consulting Ltd. Has clients in the Public and Private sectors, spanning Finance, Commerce, Industry, IT, Voluntary and Social Services.
His hobbies include flying currently working towards his private pilots' licence, skiing and reading. He currently lives in Dunblane, in Scotland with his wife and two children. He is a past chairman of Dunblane Round Table.
