As children we walk around life absorbing all that goes on around us and start to develop interests and preferences for what we like/ dislike and who we want to be when we grow up.
Initially as a child I wanted to be a bin man as the image in my 4 year old mind seemed cool, but then I became fascinated with the mind, it's power and what we could do with it. I later went on to train as a dentist to which until this day I have a love/ hate relationship with and always knew it wasn't really my calling or what I was meant to be doing, nevertheless I went on to work in several practices in Egypt and the UK as well as a head and neck surgeon in several hospitals across the UK.
It was during one of my hospital jobs that I developed a keen interest in chronic pain and mind body syndrome, as I was seeing a large number of patients who suffered with it and the treatment provided for them didn't make sense to me. So, I started to learn more about the mind and the effect of it on our health, bodies and life altogether and found out that we our more powerful than we are led to believe.
My excitement for this new found path led me to leave the world of surgery and dentistry and focus on the mind. ( Seems like there's no escaping my childhood fascination) and I absolutely love it.
It's funny how we often find that what we're drawn to in life is things that we go through ourselves. For a long time I felt that part of me was inhibited and that I couldn't be my true self as other people wouldn't understand it and/ or be able to handle it. I also suffered with chronic right shoulder pain following a sports injury for a number of years. Overcoming and healing both the above through mindset and letting go of thoughts and emotions that didn't serve me is what led me to where I am now.
